Smart prospect last year, winning Deauville Group 2 but returned from stint in Dubai with below par sixth in Doncaster conditions race (1m2f) earlier this month. Entitled to strip fitter for that.

Multiple winner at Meydan during the winter and has performed respectably back on these shores, including fifth in September Stakes last time out. Not without hope.

Very rarely runs a bad race and has notched victories in minor contests this term, including 1m6f Salisbury conditions stakes last time. Respected but usually performs better over further.

Highly regarded as a juvenile when narrowly beaten by Japan in the Beresford Stakes and returned from a long lay off with fourth in Leopardstown Group 3 (1m4f) earlier this month. Likely to have more improvement to come.

1m2f Nottingham novice winner in July and back that up with easy win in handicap at that track (heavy) a month later. Should be more to come and step up in trip should suit.

Verdict

While only having one win to his name and being beat last time out, MOUNT EVEREST suggested his ability still remains when staying on well in the latter stages of the race. This looks a good opportunity to get back on the winning trail and he could be a group performer in waiting. Weekender may find the drop back in trip slightly sharp but this 1m4f test does emphasise stamina and he thrives in small-field races, while Loxley is a classy prospect when he is on song but needs to show that he is the force of old.
