Was successful at Chester (1m2½f) and Ripon (1m3f) earlier this year. He was disappointing last time at Goodwood over 1m4f as he could only finish 10th of 13. Remains off the same mark so will need to produce more at this new trip.

Scored for the second time in his career at Nottingham (1m6f, hevay) two starts ago, prevailing by 2¾L. Could only finish sixth of 12 over this C&D last time. May be worth another chance off this mark.

Landed his opening success at the fourth attempt last time at Carlisle (1m6f) on his handicap debut and first shot at this distance. He has gone up 4lb for that win but he remains open to improvement. One for the shortlist.

Made a winning start to handicapping when he won at Windsor (1m3½f) in a six runner field. He was fancied to do well on his latest appearance at Newmarket (1m4f) but he had to settle for second place. Worth considering.

Scored on his debut at Newbury over 1m. Has gone close on both of his last two appearance since being gelded, finishing second on each run, including last time over this C&D where he was just a neck behind Ginistrelli. Has each-way claims.

On a hat-trick bid here following back-to-back wins at Brighton (1m4f) and Sandown (1m6f). He was successful by 10L last time after going off as the 10/11 favourite. Has gone up 10lb in the weights but is still a big player.

Won over this C&D last time when he got the better of Landa Beach in a close finish. Is still lightly-raced so he is open to improvement. Goes up 2lb for his latest success. Has to be respected.

Recorded consecutive wins at Nottingham (1m2f) and at this track (1m2f) respectively earlier this year. Could only finish eighth of 12 over this C&D last time when going off at 22/1. Has been eased 2lb. Others appeal more.

Was successful at Beverley (1m4f) back in July and since then he has produced a number of solid performances without adding to his tally. He was third of 10 on his latest start at Musselburgh (2m). Down in trip here but others are preferred.

Forecast

Goshen (11/4), Rhythmic Intent (6/1), Laafy (6/1), Navajo Pass (7/1), Fox Vardy (7/1), Future Investment (8/1), Landa Beach (8/1), Ginistrelli (12/1), Agravain (16/1), Jackamundo (20/1)

Verdict

GOSHEN has been in excellent form this season scoring in empathetic fashion in his two starts. He has made a big improvement for the step up in distance so he is capable of defying his 10lb rise in the weights to complete a hat-trick of wins. Laafy has had a consistent campaign so far and although he was down the field last time over this C&D, that run is worth forgiving, while Rhythmic Intent can finish in the frame here on his second shot at this mark.
