- Jumps Racing Returns To Gowran Park October 4th Apprentice Handicap (45-65) (Div 1)
- 1m, Good
- 16 Runners
- Surface: Turf
A C&D winner here two starts back where he broke his maiden. He was unable to follow it up last time at this course over the longer trip of 1m1½f as he had to settle for sixth of 16. One for the shortlist.
Distance winner and successful in three of his 50 Flat starts on turf, though has not won since 2017. Well below-par form looks set to continue.
Hasn't won in well over two years but it was a promising effort in claiming company at Sligo last time out when second of 13. Worth a check in the market with accomplished apprentice in the plate.
Winner of a Fairyhouse handicap off a 1lb lower mark in July but has been generally well held in four starts since. Others preferred.
11-race maiden, beaten in six Flat starts on turf for previous handler. Hints of promise on stable debut in a Leopardstown 1m handicap last month. First-time blinkers may assist.
12-race maiden for two previous trainer, well beaten over C&D in May but did go close at Limerick over 6½f when last seen in July. Inconsistent profile and starting out for latest yard here.
Improved on her seasonal debut run at Fairyhouse when landing the spoils in a 7f Gowran Park handicap in July off a 4lb lower mark. Running well in defeat since and one to have on any shortlist.
11-race maiden but posted a career best effort when second of 15 beaten ¾L at Killarney in July. Can be expected to go well once again with capable pilot in the saddle.
Maiden, yet to hit the frame in five starts on the Flat. Hurdling of late, needs to improve significantly on return to the level.
Still looking for breakthrough success in seven starts on turf. Well down the field in three starts in the last month, including finishing last of 18 at Navan on most recent run.
Landed a second career win when landing a Down Royal 7f handicap off a 1lb lower mark in June. Not disgraced since but this appears a tall order stepping up in trip.
Eight-race maiden who has failed to hit the frame on any occasion. Looks a tall order on form shown.
Just one win from 17 starts which came here over 7f in May last year. Needs to improve on the form she's shown this season.
Nine-race maiden who has failed to hit the frame in three Flat starts on turf. Others make more appeal, despite accomplished rider in the saddle.
Dismal efforts in a couple of starts this term well held at Roscommon over an extended 7f before finishing nearer last than first in a 16-runner contest at Navan earlier this month. Plenty to prove at present.
First Reserve: Won two consecutive races last year off a 2lb higher mark but the daughter of Mayson has shown little or no aptitude in four efforts this season to be considered if making the line-up.
