- Ayrshire Cancer Support Prohibition Ball Handicap (Class 6)
- 10 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Improved from recent respectable efforts to gain deserved first win on turf since 2014 in C&D handicap last month. Has a 5lb rise to contend with but commands respect.
Irish raider who took advantage of her British handicap mark to narrowly land 5f Hamilton handicap on latest start. Not penalised too harshly for that effort and is a leading contender.
Still a maiden after three starts but has progressed with each run so far. Put up a career best when second in 6f Hamilton novice and given a likeable mark to contend with on handicap debut. Dangerous to ignore.
Hasn't won since March 2018 but usually runs well in this company and at this track. Recent 7L defeat over C&D can be forgiven and is likely to appreciate the better going today. Not without hope.
Has thrown in some uninspiring runs this season but sprung a surprise when landing C&D contest by a nose on his latest start. 5lb hike suggests the handicapper is taking no chances and improvement needed now.
Has failed to trouble the judge recently but fared better than the result suggested with 2L sixth at Musselburgh (5f) last time. Tongue tie is turned to try and bring out some progression but is on the shortlist.
Inconsistent sort who put up one of his better performances when fair fifth in 5f Catterick handicap last time out. Claims if replicating that form and if on a going day.
Has been moderately consistent this season without hitting the frame, including 3L fifth in Carlisle handicap on latest start. Usually runs to his mark but a bit more needed if he is to be competitive.
Regressed since good reappearance at Newcastle at the start of the season. Has finished well down the field in six starts since and would be surprise if he was to trouble the judge.
Losing run now stands at 0-17 and didn't make an impact over C&D last time out. Hard to fancy from out of the handicap.
