- Ayrshire Cancer Support Counselling & Therapies Handicap (Class 5)
- 10 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Generally consistent and gained a first success at Carlisle (1m1f) in June. Bombed out on return from break at Haydock on Saturday but tends to need the run and not entirely ruled out on old form.
Has failed to trouble the judge since some promising efforts last season and began life for new yard with well-held sixth 1m2f handicap at this track in late July. Dropping in the weight but bounce back required.
Progressive in last three starts and got his first win in two years courtesy of C&D success last time out. Not heavily penalised for that win and has been left on a likeable mark. Shortlisted.
Started to look regressive in his last two starts, finishing well beaten at York before 5L seventh in C&D handicap won by Strong Steps. Plenty to find to reverse form with that rival.
13-race maiden but has been running some excellent races in defeat recently, including respectable fourth in 7f Chester handicap last time out. On a consistent mark and no reason why he shouldn't run his usual race.
Generally a model of consistency this season and was narrowly touched off by Strong Steps in C&D handicap last time out. Remains on a dangerous mark and not much needed to reverse the form with that rival.
Has regressed since maiden victory on first start and has found life tough in handicap company so far. Recent 21L defeat at Haydock suggests he's up against it.
Hasn't won on turf but ran with credit to take minor honours in two C&D on his last two starts, including behind Strong Steps. On a fair mark but a bit more needed to get off the mark in this.
Has hit the frame in all bar one run this season, including gritty success in 7f Musselburgh handicap on latest start. 4lb rise but still has the scope to progress further and is a leading player.
Landed 7f Leicester claimer on penultimate start but made horrendous start to life for new yard when tailed off last at Hamilton (6f, good to firm). Opposable.
