15:25 Killarney Thu 18 July 2019
Won a Killarney bumper in May and needs to improve on his run a the recent Bellewstown meeting earlier this month. Yard boast a terrific 35% (eight from 23) strike rate at this meeting with their national hunt runners since 2015.
Running with credit in a couple of hurdle spins at Cork in the spring, his first starts for new connections since leaving the Andre Fabre yard. Best watched on return to action unless the market suggests otherwise.
Carlo Bank gelding out of a Saddler's Hall mare. Dam, maiden point-to-point winner, half-sister to 2m - 2m5f hurdle/chase winner Nothingbutthetruth out of unraced sister to 2m1f hurdle winner Fawn Prince. Watching brief on debut.
€9,000 three-year-old, the form in two point-to-points was just respectable before a dismal effort on rules debut in a Kilbeggan bumper last month. Step up in trip not sure to suit.
Gelding by Balko out of a Lesotho mare. Ran well to finish fifth of 10 beaten over 19L on maiden hurdle debut at Killarney before a desolate effort at Ballinrobe when tailed off in May. Others preferred.
Gelding has raced twice, sixth of 14 at Wexford in 2017 and eighth of 18 at Killarney when last seen in August 11 months ago. Has plenty to find in this contest.
Three-race maiden on the Flat finished a well beaten ninth of 18 at Cork on hurdling debut earlier this month. Difficult to make a case for.
Milan gelding has failed to finish in the point-to-point starts. First time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Finished 18th of 20 on sole start over hurdles over 12 months ago. Winner of a couple of point-to-point starts in the interim and not completely ruled out on return to hurdles in first time tongue tie.
10-race maiden but the Hurricane Run gelding has hit the frame on no less than four occasions. Recent promising efforts have caught the eye and he is entitled to be in the mix in this company.
Second of 16 beaten 1½L on hurdling debut at the recent Bellewstown meeting earlier this month. Repeat of that effort should see him in the hunt for more prize money here.
By Windsor Knot out of a Elnadim mare. Dam was well beaten in bumpers, out of unraced half-sister to 1m2f winner Goodies Two Step. Last of 14 beaten 39L on debut in a Ballinrobe bumper when last seen in April. Best watched.
Well down the pack in a number of bumper starts since May following a couple of innocuous hurdling runs around the turn of the year. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
Winner of a point-to-point over 12 months ago. Eighth of 14 beaten 52L on hurdling debut at Wexford last month on stable debut. Possibly will be of more interest when sent handicapping.
Getaway mare finished nearer last than first on debut in a Cork bumper before another dismal effort at Ballinrobe when last seen in May. Others have more scope for improvement.
