Still a maiden after nine starts, and not gone on as expected. Far from disgraced when a keeping-on fifth of 16 in a 5f Naas maiden last time, and may be worth another tray at this trip, although needs to raise her game a little.

Inconsistent, but bounced back to form when landing a C&D handicap here on Sunday. Still feasibly weighted under a penalty based on juvenile form, although not certain to be in the same mood.

Still a maiden, but running well, and beaten a neck or less when third in handicaps at Leopardstown and Limerick on her last two starts. Capable of a big run having gone up only 1lb for those efforts.

Showed enough in qualifying to think he'd find a small race, but he has disappointed on both handicap starts, and something to prove at present.

Won a nursery at Galway last year. Well beaten in two starts this season, but shaped much better than the result under an inexperienced rider here last time, and longer trip will suit, so not a forlorn hope by any means.

Best effort in maidens when fourth of 12 to Memsie at Leopardstown last time, and type to do better now handicapping. Tongue tie added now, and one to consider.

Showed a fair level of ability on AW at Dundalk last year, and shaped well when fifth of 12 to Syrena in handicap at Limerick on turf/seasonal debut ten days ago. Claims if this doesn't come too soon.

Best effort to date when a fine staying-on second in a 6f handicap here last month. Not built on that twice since, but ran creditably in a maiden at Navan on Saturday, and enters calculations on balance.

Yard in form, and she ran creditably when fifth of 16 at Leopardstown last month, but that is very much a standout on her card, and she's not easy to fancy on balance.

Cheekpieces on for the first time now, and her best recent effort came over 6f here, but she looks regressive, and was soundly beaten over C&D on Sunday.

Well held in three qualifying runs, and failed to even match pick of those efforts on handicap debut over 1m at Naas in April. Returns from a break with a visor deployed, but it's hard to find a positive angle with him.

Well held on handicap bow, but he has improved since, and put up a career-best performance to win a 6f handicap at Naas last time in game fashion. Longer trip no problem, and he should continue to go the right way.

Has shown some ability, but seems to be going the wrong way and failed to beat a rival at Bellewstown last time. Slipping quickly down the weights, but still makes minimal appeal.

Showed a degree of promise for Jim Bolger last year, her best effort coming when fifth of 14 in a 7f Dundalk nursery on her final start. Entitled to need the run on debut for new yard after an absence.

Promise on debut, although didn't show a great deal in two further qualifying runs last year. Better effort in handicaps when sixth of 14 to Raffaello over 7f at Gowran last month. More required, but she's not fully exposed.

Verdict

A low draw is usually an advantage over C&D, although that wasn't the case when Nakkakande won here on Sunday. That filly is capable of defying a penalty, but she's not certain to be in the same mood now, and preference is for Naas winner TRUEBA, who appeals as the type to keep progressing in handicaps. Split Down South is open to improvement on this handicap debut, and appeals most of the others, although in truth, a case can be made for plenty.
  1. Trueba
  2. Nakakande
  3. Split Down South
