17:20 Hamilton Wed 19 June 2019
Wasn't beaten all that far when finishing fourth of 12 to Never Be Enough here (1m+, good to firm) in May; now 2lb lower, but has won just once in the past two years and the excuses are beginning to stack up.
Made all when beating Allux Boy by just over 1L here (1m+, good to soft) in August 2018; competes off the same mark today for an in-form trainer; very mixed messages so far in 2019; unconvincing.
Has a poor win record of 1-43; has twice finished runner up in five starts so far in 2019, including at Newcastle latest (1m2f) when beaten ¾L by Granite City Doc; does he have the courage to produce a winning thrust?
In fine fettle over the past month or so (2,2,3,3) but equally one could argue that the handicapper just about has his measure; beaten just over 1L when third to Betty Grable over C&D (soft) three weeks ago.
Lightly-raced filly; was only fourth in a moderate race on handicap debut at Brighton (1m, good to firm) earlier this month. However, she's in excellent hands and this race can hardly be considered any stronger.
Is inching closer to hitting the jackpot, having made the frame on each of his last two starts (1m-1m2f); 2lb higher than when beaten a neck by Patchouli at Ripon latest; rates as a major player in newly applied headgear.
Switches back to turf for the first time since making his debut at Haydock (6f) last summer; 0-6 on the AW since; wears a newly applied tongue-tie; unlikely winner.
13-race maiden; twice placed on the AW at Newcastle (6f-7f); beaten 4L when finishing fourth of 15 to Three Castles over 1m at Carlisle (good to soft) last week; more required from 1lb 'wrong'.
