- County Marquees Handicap (Class 5)
- 1m 2f,
- 7 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Just two wins but suited by cut in the ground and a consistent performer prior to latest Newbury disappointment. This trip will likely test his stamina to the full but he's on a good mark and could bounce back.
Ex Jim-Bolger who was runner-up to Saxon Warrior on debut and easily landed a Gowran handicap (1m1½f) this time last year. Has struggled to make an impression in two starts for new yard and now down in grade.
Won his first two last year on the AW and quick ground. Has raced in some tough handicaps since but still well below that level of form. Down another 4lb and in grade so could find more.
Five-time winner with his one turf win coming with some cut in the ground. Turf mark still looks quite high despite 5lb drop and never got involved when last seen at Haydock a year ago. Best watched on reappearance.
Two wins from 22 on turf and 9lb below the last of them. Likes a soft surface and although he has to be respected on a consistent level of form this year, this distance may prove too far again.
Enjoyed a good winter with three AW wins and remains 9lb higher. Headed on the line over 1m1f at Goodwood when improving on well-held third over a mile here on quicker ground. Improving and stays this far so should go close.
Ended three-year-old campaign when improving vastly on what she had previously shown when a resounding winner at Newmarket over this trip on soft. Well beaten twice this term before a better Haydock effort but still lots more needed.
