Gained her first win on Flat start 13 when winning on quick ground over this trip at Yarmouth. Has more to offer on turf and now up in grade off 3lb higher. Slower surface does pose one potential obstacle.

Won with plenty in hand when stepping up nicely on her previous three starts on season and handicap debut at Bath. Up in grade and 6lb hike unlikely to prove an issue if handling this different surface. Rates a leading contender.

Six-time winner who goes well over this C&D with a success this time last year. Handles soft ground well and just 1lb higher than last success. Continues to be consistently placed this year although a beaten favourite in four of her last five.

Won on good to soft ground at Ayr last October but below par in three starts for her new yard since. On a good mark and conditions suit but needs to step up considerably on current form.

Ground an excuse at Yarmouth on latest start and much better suited by these conditions and the drop in trip. Now 5lb below last winning turf mark and no surprise to see her shape much better.

Losing run stretches back to August 2017 despite falling mark. Conditions are fine but pulled up on hurdles debut in January and tailed off back on the Flat twice since. Remains best watched.

Just two wins from 29 starts although one of those came on soft ground. Third off this mark in a lower grade last time but these conditions suit and place possibilities again.

Well beaten in two AW starts last year and on season reappearance at Bath, all at huge odds. Faces a soft surface for the first time but needs it to bring plenty of improvement on handicap debut.

Has finished badly tailed off and yet to beat a rival home in three starts to date. Faces a mammoth task on handicap debut to be involved.

Verdict

FRECKLES won convincingly on handicap debut and looked a filly who could stay ahead of the handicapper for while. It's worth taking the chance she'll handle the ground and that will be the question with Club Tropicana, who has more to offer, but looked suited by quick ground last time. Lady Alavesa is well handicapped, likes this ground and gets a much needed drop back in distance.
