Proven on heavy ground, having won on it back in 2017, but his efforts this spring are far from encouraging and he does need to bounce back to form now. This isn't a strong event, but others preferred all the same.
Was well backed to score at Bangor and ran well, only beaten two lengths and comes into this in good heart. Proven on heavy ground too, and the only question is whether he'll stay this trip. Big chance if he does.
Ran yesterday at Fontwell (hurdles) running respectably, so is unlikely to take part here, but even if he does, looks to have a bit on his plate. Probably stays this far and handles soft but comes with risks.
Placed in a heavy-ground hurdle last December, so seems to handle cut, well backed to score at Fontwell last time but found a couple too good. Not ruled out if he can build a bit on that, and that's a possibility.
