Led centre group for 5f before fading to finish 11th of 19 in 2,000 Guineas, posting similar effort to his 5L third in the Free Handicap here last month. Pick of his juvenile form probably on good to soft and may lack scope of some of his rivals.

Well backed 11/8 fav for C&D debut last month and justified support with a head victory. Clearly well though of, but big jump in class and debut form has taken several knocks since.

Windsor victory last summer but juvenile career finished in July and did well on comeback at Newcastle recently when only finding fellow three-year-old too good in 7f handicap. More on here but open to improvement.

Hugely impressive wide margin winner first two starts last summer and improved again when second to Ten Sovereigns in group 1 Middle Park Stakes. Untried beyond 6f but shapes as though this trip is within his range and sets a high standard on form.

Two wins as a juvenile, though pick of form was a second in the Acomb Stakes at York. Seemed to find 1m on comeback run beyond him but this looks his optimum trip and should strip fitter.

Forecast

Jash (10/11), Far Above (3/1), Azano (6/1), Watan (9/1), Glorious Lover (16/1)

Verdict

JASH is the class act on his form at 2 and this looks an ideal starting point for him with the extra furlong likely to be fine. Watan could be the one to profit if the favourite doesn't come up to scratch while Azano will appreciate the drop in grade having found the Guineas beyond him last time.
