Four-time winner better than ever in Dubai this winter including Group One third over 1m1f. Shade disappointing on domestic reappearance however and will need to step up on that if to have an impact here.
Excellent strike-rate and a four-time winner at this level including over C&D. 3lb penalty for those scores but certainly rates a leading contender if Barney Roy underperforms on return.
Won three of his four starts at three culminating in a smooth Sandown Listed success to end the season. Yet to reach the limits of his potential and Crowley prefers him to Tabarrak here. Could be the one to capitalise on any chinks in Barney Roy.
Top-class competitor in 2017 winning the St James' Palace here and placing in three further Group One's from 1m-1m2½f. Complications at stud see him now back on track and his form is head and shoulders the best on offer. Does he retain all ability?
Shamardal gelding out of an unraced half-sister to Arc winner Peintre Celebre has won both starts to date on AW and the latter by 7L at Kempton. Faces a mountainous hike in class but trainer too shrewd to do so without reason; intriguing contender.
Placed in Royal Hunt Cup and Group 3 Superior Mile last season, but far from consistent, and has run poorly in three starts this season so looks easy to oppose here.
Bit disappointing since landing a French Group 1 as a juvenile, and below par in both starts this season also. Would need a return to form to feature and even then would be battling for minor honours.
Still won just one race but placed twice at Group Three level over 1m2f last term including at the Royal meeting. Trainer often finds extra from four-year-olds so one of the more likely sorts here despite 1m arguably being on sharp side now.
