Well Chosen gelding won on his third hunter chase landing a Downpatrick contest last month in facile fashion. Obviously a major player but needs to tidy up his jumping.
Beneficial gelding out of a Bob Back mare related to stayers Eastlake and Salsify. Poor form in a couple of point-to-point starts does not gauge much encouragement in this contest.
Won a point-to-point in November before a couple of gloomy runs over 3m including pulling up in a maiden hunter chase at Limerick in December. Hard to place any faith in.
Won a couple of point-to-point contests in the last couple of months and is likely to be the biggest danger to the main protagonist here.
Kadeed gelding out of a Anshan mare. Point-to-point form appears to be solid enough for the nine-year-old to enter calculations here but may have to settle for a place in this contest.
Point-to-point form has appeared to drop off in a couple of contests since finishing second of seven at Clonmel in January beaten 2¾L in a maiden hunter chase over 2m4½L. Needs a couple to falter.
Nothing of note in rules record (bumper/hurdles) so far, was runner-up in a point-to-point on debut for this yard before finishing fourth of 10 at Downpatrick last month. Unlikely to play a part in the finish.
