Modest 97-rated handicap hurdler has been well held in both disappointing beginners contests to date, but it could be a different story now stepping in to handicap company. Improvement would not surprise.
Without a win in four dour chase starts at beginners level including a 27L defeat at Wexford earlier this month. Possibly best watched on handicap chase debut unless market suggests otherwise.
Course winner who has also won over this trip. Form has been in and out in a summer jumping campaign last term. Out of sorts towards the end of the year and best watched on return.
Chasing form has improved dramatically following two runs at Hexham last month winning on his latest start over 2m4f. In the mix with a clear round.
Nothing of note in a couple of chase starts since returning to the track for the first time since December 2016. Still looking no nearer to a breakthrough success on handicap debut.
Never better than fifth in eight races under rules and four point-to-points. Sixth of 13 beaten 24L on debut over the larger obstacles in a Cork beginners contest when last seen in January. Looks a tall order on handicap debut.
Not disgraced and still running well in defeat in a number of starts since the turn of the year. Popular veteran not getting any younger.
Got off the mark at the 25th time of asking for connections winning a Clonmel handicap chase off a 6lb lower mark at odds of 12/1 last month. Another bold show likely, but faces a tough task.
Has started his last two contests at odds of 100/1, subsequently running accordingly on both occasions beaten 193L in total. Is hard to enthuse over in this company.
Below-par 87-rated hurdler who won a point-to-point in October. Well held in three chase starts since the turn of the year and form doesn't warrant support here.
Last handicap chase win came in a Sligo contest in September over 3m½f off a 3lb lower mark. Well held in a number of starts since and unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Still a maiden under Rules despite veteran status. Out of sorts recently in a couple of starts since the turn of the year and this looks a tough task for the gallant gelding.
Not disgraced in a number of starts over the larger obstacles, including finishing fifth of nine beaten 16L in a Downpatrick handicap chase last month. Slipping in the weights but still opposable.
Without success in 16 handicap starts and has failed to finish in four of her last five contests since returning to action in December. Others more appealing on the balance of recent sorties.
