Only 2lb higher than when successful at Beverley over this trip in August. Has run well on all three attempts here on this surface and has place claims at least despite giving weight away all round on the back of a break.

Yet to win in 22 career starts but has gone close on several occasions. Run with credit on his last three starts here over this C&D but needs to find more to gain that elusive first success.

C&D winner on a workable handicap mark but struggling badly for form when last seen in November. Freshened up since and possible he could bounce back but not one to rely on at present.

Five starts so far and very little to shout about. Best effort on debut when beaten 6L at Catterick on soft ground. Mark dropping rapidly and visor on first -time but beaten a long way here in December and needs major improvement.

Is racing some 26lb below his last winning mark but has not looked the same animal for a while. Backed into favourite at Kempton on first start for this yard last month but looked in need of the run. Player again off such a dangerous mark.

At the veteran stage now and has been struggling to find his form. C&D win came here almost two years ago and hard to recommend despite being on a career-low mark.

Just one win in 19 starts on the AW and makes Fibresand debut today. Has decent gate speed so could be well placed early if handling the surface. Dam only had one runner here and sire is 26/404 at the track. Eye-shield on first-time.

Three starts so far in novice company have not amounted to much. Best of those efforts came over this C&D last time and makes handicap debut off a lowly mark. Needs to improve quite a bit but market check probably needed.

Sole victory came back in 2015 and hasn't looked like adding to that tally of late. This is more suitable than the Wolverhampton race last time but needs to take a large step forward.

Still a maiden after nine starts and has been well held over this C&D the last twice. Hard to enthuse over chances at this stage.

Well held in all ten starts to date including over this C&D when last seen in Decemeber. Cheekpieces go on but looks up against it once more.

Best effort so far when only beaten 5½L in a weak novice event over C&D two weeks ago. Winner of that race has since won a seller but will need to take a step forward on handicap debut to play a part. Early days and could be more to come.

Forecast

Twentysvnthlancers (9/4), Kyllukey (4/1), Furni Factors (9/2), Atwaar (8/1), Roy's Legacy (10/1), Teepee Time (12/1), Jean Excels (14/1), Archie Stevens (14/1), Men United (16/1), Tina Teaspoon (25/1), Crikeyitswhykie (33/1), Ritas Legacy (50/1)

Verdict

A weak race to kick things off that can be left for KYLLUKEY to gain a much needed win. He was well backed on first run for Charlie Wallis at Kempton last time when shaping like in need of the run. Having run so well on his only start here, connections look to have found an excellent opportunity. Twentysvnthlancers is the main danger off top weight whilst Jean Excels and Atwaar are both worthy of market checks with the potential for some improvement on handicap debut.
