Former Group 3 winner who gained a fourth Listed success when making all for a dominant win at Salisbury. Sets the standard and a bold bid expected again.

Yet to win over further than a mile or above a Class 3 handicap and outclassed for a second time in this grade at York. Hard to make a case for in this company.

La Figlia39
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: James Doyle| T: P W Chapple-Hyam| OR:  95
14/1
Frankel filly, cost €1.8m as a foal and won on new stable debut after leaving Jeremy Noseda. Has gone close to getting black type previously but was disappointing back in this grade at Haydock. Needs to find extra now up in trip.

Dancer Cross18
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: G Mosse| T: M Botti| OR:  95
50/1
Listed winner in Italy who ran a creditable third at Chelmsford on British and stable debut. This represents a steep rise in class and others preferred.

12/1
Followed two AW wins with a second in the Group 3 Musidora at York and then didn't get home in the Ribblesdale. This looks to be her trip and is open to plenty of progress following a break. Likely contender with eye-catching jockey booking.

Rasima54
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: David Egan| T: R Varian| OR:  100
28/1
Has run in three good races since her win in handicap company at Nottingham and the last performance is easily forgiven with the slow pace and soft ground against her. Ran a fine second in a Group 3 previously and is still improving.

Two from five and ran a solid third in handicap company at Ascot. Progressive but needs to find a fair bit for the step up in trip in this company.

Sheikha Reika11

Beaten favourite for the fourth time in six starts when just behind Scottish Jig at Ascot. Up in trip but more progress required. Stable won this in 2014 and 2015 and also run Rasima.

Winter Lightning18
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Oisin Murphy| T: S bin Suroor| OR:  109
5/2
Listed winner and a third in Group 3 UAE Oaks in Meydan and returned with a fine running on third in the Group 3 Atalanta at Sandown. Open to plenty improvement at this trip and looks a leading player.

Forecasts

Chain Of Daisies (11/8), Winter Lightning (5/2), Sheikha Reika (7/1), Scottish Jig (7/1), Dancing Brave Bear (12/1), La Figlia (14/1), Rasima (28/1), Isabella (50/1), Dancer Cross (50/1)

Verdict

An older filly took this last year however three-year-olds have won seven of the last 10 renewals. Chain Of Daisies is double the age of most of her rivals but she's a tough customer to pass and will be putting on the pressure from some way out. WINTER LIGHTNING looks the pick of the younger brigade and she proved to be better returning to turf following a break from her Meydan exploits. She hit the line at Sandown as though this distance will be the making of her and she picks up this autumn as a fresh and progressive filly. Rasima gets her preferred conditions and has plenty more to offer while Dancing Brave Bear can be forgiven her last run and remains a smart and lightly-raced prospect.
  1. Winter Lightning
  2. Chain Of Daisies
  3. Dancing Brave Bear
