Drops in class after bumping into smart sorts on his last two outings. Down to the mark which produced a good run at the Newmarket Craven meeting and ground conditions are to his liking.

Edged out a subsequent Group 1 runner-up at Wolverhampton and the third went on to be fourth in Listed company. Will be fitter for return three weeks ago and looks very interesting with soft ground winners in the pedigree.

By Dansili out of an Oaks/Irish Oaks runner-up. Better last time when the hood went on and he is proven on this ground, however the drop back to 1m2f casts a doubt.

Better efforts since handicapping prior to a weak effort at Lingfield last time. Needs to bounce back in better company and others have more pressing claims.

Forecast

Starcaster (11/8), Christopher Wood (7/4), Reveleon (5/2), Dorella (11/2), Phoenician Star (6/1)

Verdict

REVELEON scored on his stable debut last week but takes on much better horses here under a penalty that puts him on a 2lb higher rating than his new official mark. Dorella landed a Wolverhampton novice in February that has worked out well and gets her in here on an attractive mark. She is bred to handle the ground, but CHRISTOPHER WOOD is also proven on the surface and will find this easier than his last two starts. His second to Breath Caught off this mark in April is solid form and the booking of Jason Watson to claim an additional 3lb earns him the vote.
  1. Christopher Wood
  2. Dorella
  3. Reveleon
