Consistent novice over hurdles, winning a handicap at Bangor in May and generally running well. Switches to fences at quite a young age and is much respected on chasing debut for successful trainer/jockey combination.

Runner-up in two of his three chases, but has been off the track since November and was well beaten in a handicap on that occasion. Returns on a 2lb lower mark with cheekpieces fitted.

Has been in good form over hurdles for this summer's most proliflic trainer/jockey partnership and now switches his attentions to fences. Of obvious interest and the market should prove instructive.

Two wins from four starts over fences, including a verdict over C&D in June. The handicapper has had his say and while he should be competitive, he is more exposed than at least a couple of his rivals.

Useful in his prime, but is not the force of old as he demonstrated at Bangor last time. One of of two runners from his in-form yard and stable jockey prefers Holyrale.

Winner of three handicap hurdle races during the winter who now tries his luck over the bigger obstacles. Has been given a break and it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in his favour.

Dr Dunraven (13/8), Ofcourseiwill (3/1), Holryale (10/3), Comber Mill (7/1), Omega Springs (12/1), Full (16/1), Winner Massagot (20/1)

Verdict

Full and Comber Mill are of interest returning from a break, but this can go to top-weight OFCOURSEIWILL, who won his only point-to-point race and tries his luck over fences on the back of some good hurdling efforts. Holyrale looks much the best of two stable representatives and may follow home the selection, while Dr Dunraven is not out of it.
