Useful stayer who has already won at Listed level and shaped better than her finishing position in a French Group 3 last time (paid price for starting her race too early). Now drops to handicap company for the first time; respected.

Capable sort but she does need everything to drop right for her and maybe should have won more than she has. That was shown last time at York over 2m (needed a stronger gallop); remains 8lb above last wining mark though.

Has some strong form to her name and has run some sound races of late including at Doncaster last time over 1m2f. Now steps up 4f in trip against some strong stayers and although her consistency is a plus this is a tougher test.

Useful handicapper who stays this trip and with her yard now in better form she shaped well enough over C&D in March to be of interest. Just 2lb above her last winning mark she does have an absence to overcome and others appeal more.

Gave a career-best performance when winning at Windsor on her last start appreciating the stamina test and will get a greater one here. However, this is a steep rise in grade/trip and she will need to find more progress.

Consistent sort last year once her initial outing had set her straight and recorded three wins (last two in handicap). Probing reliable this year without necessarily progressing and had the run of the race last time; more needed in this over further.

Mountain Bell (2/1), Graceland (3/1), Lady Bergamot (9/2), White Chocolate (9/2), Giveaway Glance (9/1), St Mary's (12/1)

Verdict

MOUNTAIN BELL rather surprisingly makes her handicap debut here having contested and won stronger races than this in the past two years. Paid the price for getting racing too early last time but ought to find this easier despite conceding plenty of weight. Graceland really ought to have won more races but she does need everything to go right for her and a strong gallop will be needed to see her at her best. White Chocolate has been in good form but steps up in trip and makes her debut on this surface and it could be that Giveaway Glance can improve on her Windsor victory with this trip looking to suit her even better.
  1. Mountain Bell
  2. Graceland
  3. Giveaway Glance
