Gained first success over fences in Britain when streaking clear at Cartmel two weeks ago. That was not a strong contest and may struggle to back that up under the penalty here.

Three starts over fences so far have not matched what he achieved over hurdles. Little bit to find with a couple of these on form but the ability is there so not totally dismissed.

Unseated his rider on sole chase start back in 2016. Has been regressing slightly over hurdles of late and is up against it slightly here today.

Pleasing chasing debut here 17 days ago over C&D when a close up third behind Deauville Crystal. Should come on for that experience and is a major player in this field with conditions spot on.

Off the mark over fences over C&D last month when getting the better of Robin The Raven. That was her first run since a wind operation for which she clearly benefited and is a player once again.

Betting

Forecast

Robin The Raven (5/4), Jeannot De Nonant (9/4), Deauville Crystal (7/1), Forth Bridge (8/1), Robinroyale (8/1)

Verdict

Jeannot De Nonant just about sets the standard here after his Cartmel romp last time. He could be vulnerable under a penalty here though and another close call could be on the cards between ROBIN THE RAVEN and Deauville Crystal. Preference is for the former to reverse the form of their clash over C&D last time having idled late on suggesting there was more in the tank.
  1. Robin The Raven
  2. Deauville Crystal
  3. Jeannot De Nonant
