Dawn Approach filly, half-sister to eight winners including two winners at Listed level. Dam a Group 3 winner as a juvenile. Well bred and won at Lingfield on debut, staying on gamely. Carries a penalty but should improve for the step up in trip.

Lope De Vega colt, cost €220,000 as a yearling. Dam a winner and half-sister to a US Grade 2 winner amongst other pattern level performers. May want a bit further than this but respected on debut for a yard that can ready a juvenile.

Dark Angel colt, cost 750,000 gns as a yearling. Brother to a juvenile Listed winner over this trip. Dam a sprint winner and half-sister to a Listed winner also over this trip. Appealing on paper and yard's two-year-olds running well in general.

Exceed And Excel colt, cost €130,000 as a yearling. Dam a winner and half-sister to US Grade 2 winner and a Listed winner. Well beaten in his bid to make all at Newbury on debut. Should improve but has a tough ask here.

Charm Spirit colt, half-brother to five winners, most notably an Australian Group 1 winner and dam was a winner over 7f. Yard do well with their juveniles and interesting to see whether any money arrives for him.

Forecast

Calyx (5/2), Chance (7/2), Octave (9/2), Khaadem (11/2), Salam Zayed (11/2), Reddiac (20/1), Spirit Warning (20/1), Lorcan (40/1), Rajman (50/1)

Verdict

Octave stayed on well to win at Lingfield last time and looks sure to benefit from this extra furlong. The only filly in the line up has claims given she's only one of two in the line up to have had a run and already seen the winners' enclosure. However, CALYX is a fascinating runner and the son of Kingman may be up to winning this on debut. Khaadem and Chance are two more interesting debutantes with
  1. Calyx
  2. Octave
  3. Khaadem
