Money was down at Ludlow this month on second start back from four years off and first outing since wind surgery but ran poorly and was pulled up. Interesting to see if confidence is retained.
Found only one too strong in chasing bow at Taunton (2m2f, good to firm) recently, that was a decent start in this sphere and there should be more to come.
Fair effort in fourth over C&D last month, coming off a break, there might be some improvement on just fourth chase start and cheekpieces could help bring about some further improvement.
Runner-up here 12 days ago over a longer trip and travelled like the best horse for a long way. Runs from the same mark now and should give this a bold sight.
Yet to win in 12 starts and jumping errors/attitude have been his downfall at times. Better effort over C&D last month (third) and eased 1lb by the assessor if building on that run.
Held since winning over an extended 2m7f at this track (good) in October. Races off a mark 3lb lower than for that victory but the 14-year-old likely to find a few too good in this contest.
Well held on last month's chasing bow at Southwell and runs here from 4lb out of the handicap, watching brief seems safest.
