Australia filly who cost €40,000 as a yearling with the dam a winner at up to a mile (two-year-old sprint winner). Trainer does well with his juveniles and is already setting a good pace with them this year.

Trainer not known for his debutante juvenile winners and this Camelot filly may need this run. Dam was unraced but a half-sister to the useful Mission Approved.

Dawn Approach filly from a yard that usually like to take their time with their juveniles although they can have the odd sharp one. Dam was a winner at 1m2f and a half-sister to a couple of useful protagonists; worth a market watch.

Went with little encouragement on her debut and failed to improve on that last time here over 5f. Not one to be interested in on the evidence so far.

- Looked as though she needed the run on her debut at Bath over 5f on quick ground and was left behind from 2f out. May improve a little here but looks more one for nurseries down the line.

Half-sister to several winners but needed the experience quite badly on her debut at Ascot (5f, firm). Held up and failed to settle she should know a little more this time around.

Runners from this yard are often capable of stepping up on their second run and that could well be the case with this Camacho filly. She ran well enough on debut behind a smart sort who has won again to think that she can do better here.

Trainer has already proved himself capable with juveniles and has a good record first-time up. This €160,000 yearling has a smart pedigree (quite speedy on the distaff side) and the yard are 3/9 with turf two-year-olds this season.

Yard are going well with their juveniles this year (already into double figures for winners) and this Sixties Icon filly has to be respected. Dam was 5f two-year-old winner and a half-sister to the fairly useful Just Hiss.

Yard don't have many two-year-old winners (0/27 on turf past five years) and despite an appealing pedigree on paper only significant market support would make this one of interest.

Trainer already 3/8 in this sphere this year and he know how to get one ready first time up. Filly by first season sire No Nay Never who was a high-class sprinter and she's expected to go well.

Welcoming (5/4), Aussie View (11/4), Summer Blossom (4/1), Popping Corks (8/1), Swinging Jean (16/1), Lady Wolf (20/1), Early Edition (25/1), Corinthian Star (33/1), Kg Passion (50/1), Pleasant Gesture (100/1), Tintern Spirit (100/1)

Verdict

This should be an informative contest with the field containing some interesting newcomers and the once-raced Popping Corks who sets a good standard for that group to aim at on her 6th (not beaten far) to a subsequent Listed winner. The market may prove helpful with the newcomers but WELCOMING makes plenty of appeal on her trainer’s record and pedigree to make a successful debut. Summer Blossom is another that appeals on the same premise and she shouldn’t be far away and neither should Aussie View who Mark Johnston sends down from the North.
