- 7f 3y, Good to Firm (Firm in the Home Straight)
- 16 Runners
- Surface: Turf
15lb lower than when recording his only win on turf at Carlisle (6f, good to firm) last May. Beaten just 1L at Sandown when 8lb higher in September but nowhere near that level of form since. Others preferred.
Bought for 8,000gns after winning over C&D (good to soft) for George Margarson in August from 2lb lower. Held on only subsequent run at Chelmsford in September. Handles fast ground and is interesting on his reappearance.
Won back-to-back races over C&D (good/good to firm) including this last year, the latter from 1lb higher. Below that level in all her last six starts, but would certainly have claims if back to the performances of this time last year. Market check.
1-36, her win being over 6f (good to soft) at Windsor in October. Has run well from higher marks on the All Weather since then and can't be ruled out on her first turf run since that lone win.
Yet to win from nine attempts but heartening that one of her better efforts was here over C&D (good to firm) in August when 1¼L second from 2lb lower. Needs to up the ante but couldn't rule her out of the frame.
Losing run on turf now numbers 36 going back to his last win on it in 2015. Certainly not ruled out from this mark if able to get back to the level of his best efforts from 2017 after a pipe-opener but likely to find something to beat him.
0-9 on turf, with four AW wins to his name from 7f-1m, including last time at Wolverhampton. One of his best runs on turf was over C&D (good to soft) from this mark last October, but needs to improve on that to break his duck on this surface.
Both her wins have been away from turf. Did not look devoid of hope of winning on this surface when 3L sixth of 12 at Brighton (1m, good to firm) last month. Drop in trip no problem but needs to find a bit more.
Best effort in four maiden runs was on debut over C&D in October. Drops 3lb from initial mark for this handicap debut with headgear now on. Champion jockey looks elsewhere for a ride this time, which is not encouraging.
Another whose best performance was on debut last year but has not come close to that level since. 14½L last of 14 on handicap intro at Windsor (1m, good) last month. Headgear now called for and 4lb lower but need to see more from her.
Yet to make an impact in handicaps, her best effort out of maidens being a 2¼L third in a Beverley classified event (1m½f, soft) in September. Beaten favourite on her last two starts and headgear now deployed. Risky.
Has shown more since gradually slipping in the ratings in three handicaps in the past two months or so and got within 2¼L of the winner here over 1m last time. Drop in trip no problem but nudged back up 1lb so needs to eek out more.
Has shown very little in five starts, the last two in handicaps over 7f-1m1½f. Beaten 9L from this mark at Brighton last time and hard to make a case for her.
Was not beaten far in three successive handicaps over this trip at Chelmsford (twice) and Wolverhampton earlier in the year, including from this mark. Longer trip/soft ground may have been excuses here last time but has a squeak this time.
Very moderate form so far, including on her handicap debut here over 1m (soft) last time, when 2lb higher. Blinkers now tried but we need to see a lot more from her before she can be recommended.
Thrashed out of sight in his three starts in novices'/maiden company and can't give him any chance on that evidence on his handicap debut.
