Career-best effort last time at Navan (5½f, yielding to soft) when springing 20/1 surprise in Listed company, holding off Gorane in second by 1¾L. Respected off that run.
Listed winner over 6f at Naas on soft ground in October, probably found a mile beyond him on reappearance last month and often needs a run to get his season going. This is more suitable.
Far from disgraced in some high quality Group races last summer, though finished behind Texas Rock over 6f in Listed company in October. Back from a break and well capable fresh.
No match for Primo Uno last time out at Navan (5½f, yielding to soft) and has routinely come up a bit shy in Listed class events.
Likeable four-year-old who may have more improvement in him this season. Started well with Musselburgh success in March, form that looks good with runner-up going close in Newmarket Group 3 since.
Maiden winner over C&D in March 2016, all four runs since have been in Listed/Group company and essentially been finding things very tough. Shouldn't be winning this on reappearance.
Filly was within 2L in second behind Primo Uno at Navan (5½f, yielding to soft) on last month's reappearance. Better off on these terms and plausible she can reverse the form.
Beat Kyllang Rock to win 5f York Listed race on good to soft in this month last year, poor runs (in strong races) either side of winter break however and that rival may have her number now.
Last Year's Winner
Kyllang Rock (6/4), Primo Uomo (3/1), Gorane (6/1), Ardhoomey (7/1), Fashion Queen (10/1), Gymkhana (12/1), Smash Williams (12/1), Mister Trader (16/1), Texas Rock (25/1)
