Aidan O'Brien has four of the 17 entries for QIPCO 2000 Guineas

Wootton was the most notable absentee after 17 colts stood their ground at the six-day declaration stage for Saturday’s Qipco 2000 Guineas.

In his absence Godolphin rely on impressive Craven Stakes winner Masar, who is currently second favourite.

The market leader is Gustav Klimt, one of four entries for Aidan O’Brien, the others being Murillo, Saxon Warrior and U S Navy Flag.

Elarqam (Mark Johnston) and Without Parole (John Gosden) are two exciting sons of Frankel looking to emulate their sire by winning the Guineas. Their trainers have another entry each with Cardsharp and Roaring Lion respectively.

Expert Eye is on target to represent Sir Michael Stoute and faces a rematch with his Greenham conqueror James Garfield.
