Sporting Life weekend winners - including Tiger Woods and Anthony Joshua

It was profitable weekend for Sporting Life readers with the team enjoying a fine few days on the tipping front.

Golf expert Ben Coley landed the biggest winner of the lot when Tiger Woods roared back to his best to win the TOUR Championship in an emotional final round in America on Sunday.

Ben has been convinced that Woods had been nearing something close to peak form in recent weeks and he certainly maximised his opinion, advising 3pts each-way at 14/1 in his tournament preview here.

Ben will have plenty of tips for the Ryder Cup which starts on Friday so be sure keep an eye out for his previews throughout the week.

The Football desk were also in good spirits after the Sporting Life accumulator delivered the goods.

It needed a late winner from Charlton to seal the deal, as Karlan Grant pounced with two minutes of normal time remaining to hand them a deserved three points.

EFL tipster Tom Carnduff also continued his own strong run of form when Wigan's Nick Powell was a successful 9/4 selection to score anytime in Friday night's game before Scunthorpe claimed a home victory over Shrewsbury at odds of 21/10 the following day.

In the boxing, Anthony Joshua took centre stage on Saturday night and our boxing guru Chris Oliver enjoyed a fine evening himself.

Chris tipped a perfect three winners from three selections, culminating in Joshua's seventh-round knockout of Russian challenger Alexander Povetkin.

In all, Chris' selections - at 7/2, 5/4 and 2/1 - won his readers an impressive 18 points on the night.

Not to be outdone, Matt Brocklebank's 7/2 podcast selection, Stars Over The Sea, won by 10 lengths at Newmarket on Saturday to ensure the racing team kept up appearances and Simon Holt's regular column once again returned a level stakes profit thanks to a big run from Get Knotted in the Ayr Gold Cup.

Dave Ord signed off the weekend with a comfortable 7/2 winning nap at Hamilton on Sunday.
