Blazon can extend his all-weather conquests to Southwell in the Betway Marathon Handicap.

Stamina is a proven forte for Kim Bailey's six-year-old, and will be key on the Fibresand for this test over two miles and two and a half furlongs.

Blazon has found his metier this winter with a hat-trick of fine staying performances to win twice at Kempton and once at Wolverhampton in January and February.

He returns to this surface, having signed off before his winning spree as fifth of nine in a November maiden here when he was unable to pick up to significant effect over only a mile and a half.

Up 10lb in all for his victories, Blazon has obvious prospects of completing his four-timer.

He never managed to win in 10 attempts over jumps - including most recently when last of five in a novices' handicap chase at Warwick last autumn.

The absence of pesky obstacles is clearly much to his liking, though, as is an extended distance - so expect him to be in his element on his return to this track.

An hour earlier, in-form Marble Bar has plenty in his favour too in the Betway Official Grand National Betting Partner Handicap.

A 5lb penalty for the second of two wins here last month is largely offset by regular partner Jamie Gormley's claim.

Iain Jardine's four-year-old defied a 12lb hike last time, doubling his unbeaten course-and-distance record.

After 17 previous runs without success, he has hit on a winning combination and there is every reason to expect it to continue in this class.

The reopposing Katheefa has an inevitable pull in the weights, but was brushed aside emphatically when a two-length runner-up last week.

Debutant Inspired Thought is eye-catching in the Betway Novice Median Auction Stakes.

Archie Watson's Dandy Man filly is a half-sister to a Listed juvenile winner who began her career with back-to-back all-weather wins at this trip.

It would be no surprise if the well-connected progeny struck again in similar circumstances.

Quila Saeda is a more lateral concept in the Betway Live Casino Handicap, after her 12-length last of five to a long odds-on winner on stable and British debut at Newcastle last month.

The ex-German mare can be expected to improve significantly for that initial experience, however, and seems sure to be well-served too by this extra three furlongs.

Mick Appleby has found her an interesting handicap starting point.

In the closing sunracing.co.uk Handicap, Thecornishbarron also has a winnable assignment.

Brian Ellison's seven-year-old has had a near three-month break and a wind operation since finishing an encouraging second over a stiff mile at Newcastle.

On this comeback run, and perhaps his next too, he is of particular interest.

On Kempton's evening card, Scorched Breath has a tempting profile for the 32Red Casino Handicap.

Charlie Fellowes' gelding has hinted at potential in three novice runs and makes his handicap debut off what may prove a very fair rating.

Scorched Breath was outpointed by a racecourse debutant when a three-quarter-length second over this course and distance three weeks ago.

He retains the hood and tongue strap, having stayed on with unavailing purpose for an improved effort over a furlong further than he had tried previously.

The same formula is well worth another try at this realistic level.

Earlier on the card, division one of the racingtv.com Handicap provides Pentland Lad with a good opportunity to break his duck for Fellowes too.

The three-year-old has had two starts for his new stable, finishing third on each occasion and appearing to relish the move up to this seven furlongs last time.

Returning over course and distance after a slow start did him no favours here a little over three weeks ago, Pentland Lad has acquired the assistance of Oisin Murphy.

Over jumps at Market Rasen, Wishfull Dreaming should be able to give weight all round in the Racing TV Chase.
