Richard Spencer is confident Rumble Inthejungle can bounce back to form in Saturday's Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
An impressive winner of the Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, he was sent off favourite for the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster last time but finished last of nine.
"We scoped him after the race and everything seemed fine with him. We thought maybe the ground wasn’t great for him and we were probably drawn the wrong side but he’s done a bit of fast work on Saturday and pleased us, so it’s all systems go for the Middle Park this weekend," said Spencer.
Rumble Inthejungle was also restless at the start at Doncaster, causing him to bump his head in the stalls, but Spencer is keen to look forward rather than dwelling on the race.
"A few things didn’t go our way, and that [the bump] could have been one of the reasons, but I’m not really looking into that too much.
"The horse has come back from Doncaster and seems fine at home, he’s worked well, and the lads are happy with him. Hopefully it stops raining this week and it will be a dry week and we can go to the race with a good chance."
