Warren Greatrex provides an update on star horses Emitom and La Bague Au Roi, while admitting Keeper Hill could be up against it this weekend.
It's a relatively quiet weekend for the yard with Keeper Hill our representative at Kempton on Saturday.
He runs in the Unibet Silviniaco Conti Chase and it's a competitive little field for the Grade Two but looking at the figures we should probably be third best.
But you never now how it's going to pan out and what might happen to his rivals so we thought we'd have a go.
In hindsight we probably wish we'd never run him in the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup at Cheltenham as he doesn't really handle very bad ground.
Better ground on a flat track will suit him here but the trip is likely to be on the short side. There are few options for him now but he's better off in a small field and such races are few and far between.
Rather than keeping him in his box at home, we're happy running him to try and pick up a bit of the prize money.
Thankfully there haven't been any dramas elsewhere with the big guns but I can confirm a few potential targets for La Bague Au Roi, who we've entered in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Ryanair Chase this week.
Before that she'll have entries in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham, the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown and if the ground was to come up very soft there and not suitable for her then we might look at the Denman Chase at Newbury.
Regarding Emitom, he's come out of the New Year's Day race very well. In hindsight everything conspired against him but we'll look at the Cleeve Hurdle now. If that doesn't look suitable and we've not got enough schooling into him we might have to look at the Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock.
I've spoken with the owners and we're pretty adaptable as they realise that this season has been interrupted and therefore we probably just have to get back on track.
If we have to wait a little longer then the National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell will be in our thinking, which would mean potentially missing Cheltenham this season and then we'd be looking at Aintree perhaps.
