Ruby Walsh feels Total Recall has the perfect weight to make his presence felt in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury on December 2.
The eight-year-old was among the horses to join Willie Mullins' stable from that of Sandra Hughes over the summer and he immediately made a big impressive when landing strong market support in last month's Munster National at Limerick.
That victory looks all the more meritorious after runner-up Alpha Des Obeaux came out and won the Clonmel Oil Chase, and although Walsh won't be in the saddle after recently breaking his leg, he is hoping Coneygree stands his ground at Newbury to help keep the weights down for Total Recall.
Sky Bet make him their 6/1 market leader, ahead of Harry Fry's American.
Speaking on Racing UK, the jockey said: "He got a hefty penalty for it (winning at Limerick) but Alpha Des Obeaux backed it up at Clonmel.
"A lot depends on what's going to be top, I suppose if Coneygree runs and Total Recall is to stay on 10-8 that gives him a really good chance.
"He's not the biggest horse in the world and that would be a great weight for him to carry. If the top horses start falling away and the weights creep up, then the penalty would have a bigger impact then but to go around with 10-8 on his back would give him a huge chance."
