Charlie Hills, Nebo: "He scoped filthy after his last run at York. He's had some treatment for a throat infection which has obviously cleared up now and we've been happy with his last two bits of work. Ryan Moore is going to take the ride. You could see he ran flat as a pancake at York, so we had him scoped straight after at the racecourse and that is what we found."

James Tate, Invincible Army: "He took the Sirenia very well. We thought the chances of getting his ground at Newbury at this time year were slim, but it's good to firm, good in places and there's very little rain forecast. He's in great form."

Jim Crowley, Enjazaat: "We've always liked him. He didn't run up to scratch at Newmarket, but back at Ripon he was very impressive last time. He's been going well at home, it was a good confidence booster and he couldn't have done it any easier. We're going there hopeful."

Clive Cox, Grand Koonta: "We have been bit unlucky in that the ground has been a bit too easy for him on a couple of occasions over the last six weeks. Saturday's race is obviously very hotly-contested, but Grand Koonta is a horse we like a lot and it looks like the ground is going to be in his favour."

George Scott, James Garfield: "I have been very pleased with James Garfield since his terrific effort in the Acomb. Whatever happens, James has been a tremendous flag bearer for the yard this year having been third in the Windsor Castle, fourth, in the Vintage Stakes, and second in the Acomb. He has not put a foot wrong all season and I don't envisage him doing any different tomorrow. All being well, he will then head to California for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf."

Jamie Spencer, Lansky: "I haven't ridden the horse, but he looks a nice type. He ran well at York and if he's progressed again, he should have a chance."

Tom Dascombe, No I'm Easy: "He is in good shape and, although he obviously needs to improve a lot, I think there is a lot of improvement in him. I thought he ran a nice race at Ascot and the horse who beat him has obviously gone on to better things, while he did well to win last time given the race did not really pan out in his favour. He is a nice horse with a future and I would not be running him if I thought he was going to finish out the back."

Andrew Balding, Rebel Streak: "He has a bit to do, but wasn't seen to best effect last time. He would never have beaten the winner who is a very good horse, but prior to that he was very progressive. He goes well at home and on the kind of work he is showing us at home he could easily pinch a place."

Charlie Johnston, Oriental Fox, Time To Study & Mister Manduro: "It has sort of been his target for the last six weeks or so to run in this race and then the Cesarewitch itself. He was only beaten a short-head in the big one a couple of years ago, so we're keen to let him have another crack at it.

"He's been running in some Group class staying races in the second half of the summer and he's come down a couple of pounds in the weights because of that. The trip and the ground won't be a problem for him and although he's getting on a bit, it's all systems go. He might just improve a touch for the run, with the Cesarewitch itself his main target.

"We would have been perfectly happy to let Time To Study go straight to the Cesarewitch, but he came out of last week in very good form. He didn't run for nearly three months after Royal Ascot, so he missed the bulk of the summer and because of that he comes into the autumn a relatively fresh horse.

"I think he'll improve for the step up in trip. He's probably at his best when there's cut in the ground, so it will be interesting to see what it's like on Saturday. Hopefully he'll run a big race and we'll head to the Cesarewitch with him, too."

"Mister Manduro has been disappointing, to be honest. He was only just over a length behind Time To Study in the Edinburgh Cup at the start of June and he wasn't beaten far in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot.

"On that form he should only be a pound or two behind Time To Study, but whereas he has improved a stone, this horse has gone backwards, if anything. His last run at Goodwood was a real head scratcher. The only thing I can think of is he's quite a big horse and maybe he didn't handle that turning, undulating track.

"He won't have that excuse on Saturday and it would be nice to think we can get him back on track, but I'm going there more hoping than expecting with him."

Tony Martin, The Graduate: "Our horses just weren't 100 per cent on his first couple of runs for us, but we're quite happy with him at the moment. I'm hoping he'll give a good account of himself."

Rod Millman, Taws: "She's won three of her last four races and she's in really good form. It's quite a competitive renewal of the race, I thought, more competitive than in recent years. But we're very happy with her going into the race and the lad who rides her (David Egan) knows her well, so fingers crossed she runs a good race."

William Haggas, Muthmir: "He's been in great form this year, as good as we've had him, but I just haven't been able to run him because at all the major meetings it has been soft ground. He must have top of the ground, it's pointless running him if there's any cut.

"The options were run him here or wait for the Abbaye but it's been soft ground in France for a month now. It could still dry up and if it does there a chance he could run in both but we thought we'd run here, even though it's not ideal he's got to carry a penalty. He really is in top form, I've been desperate to run him."

Tony Coyle, Caspian Prince: "He is in good order following his run at the Curragh and has not done a lot since. He does not take a lot to keep him ready. It was just a shame the ground went against him at the Curragh, but he still ran a blinder in the circumstances.

"We will get Saturday out the way first, but the Breeders' Cup could be on his agenda as the owner (Stephen Louch) is keen to give it a go. This would be his last run before then because he would have to go into quarantine.

"He is eight-years-old and in the form of his life. He has had a brilliant year. He is a bit of a freak as people forget that he is by Dylan Thomas and yet is so quick over five furlongs. He is an incredible horse."

David Griffiths, Take Cover: "Take Cover has come out of the Beverley Bullet well and it is all systems go for Newbury. I was bit worried going to Beverley because of the stiff finish but he pulled out plenty and Tom (Queally) gave him a great ride.

"I was delighted because, although he should really be winning Listed races given that he is a dual Group Two winner, you have still got to get there right and well on the day. He can have a real go at these Listed and Group Three races and he should be really competitive without the penalty. Hopefully, he can do the job on Saturday."

Clive Cox, Priceless and Go On Go On Go On: "This looks another hotly-contested race. Priceless has a Group Two penalty but the ground is main reason we are pleased to shoulder that penalty as she is a better filly on drier conditions.

"She ran a blinder in the Nunthorpe (fifth) last time and has been at the top of her game all season. She looks fantastic for the time of year. Go On Go On Go On ran well at Doncaster last week. This is another step up, but we wanted to take advantage of the drier ground."

Andrew Balding, Rosie Briar: "She's had a bit of a break. She loves soft ground, but this is the one place in the UK that is not going to be soft. 'll have a look at the ground, but we are gearing her to an autumn campaign."
