Turret Rocks caused a 14/1 surprise in the Group Three ICON Meld Stakes as Dermot Weld's hot favourite Hazapour was turned over.
The Derby fifth was dropping three furlongs in trip on his return to action following his Epsom defeat and was sent off the 8/13 favourite getting weight from Deauville and Turret Rocks.
However, Hazapour failed to beat either of the older horses, with Turret Rocks edging out Deauville in the run to the line after a sustained duel.
Hazapour briefly threatened on the outside but couldn't get to the front pair and Frankie Dettori settled for third in the end with Aidan O'Brien's Curly last home of the four runners.
Winning jockey Kevin Manning said: "I was surprised she was 14/1 to be honest with you.
"She kept pulling out more and got on top close home so it was great."
