Evan Williams has swerved Saturday's Caspian Caviar Gold Cup with On Tour in favour of a race at Ascot next week.
The nine-year-old landed a decent prize at Aintree in November and was just getting into contention at Newbury last time out when he blundered and unseated his rider.
He will now step up to three miles for the first time since his point-to-point days in the Lavazza Silver Cup on December 23.
"He's in a valuable race at Ascot and that looks the logical place to go with him," Williams told At The Races. "He's always been a horse who has promised to deliver and it happened at Aintree, so that was great. He was travelling very nicely when he turned upside down at Newbury, so it does suggest he's going to deliver on the promise we thought he's always had."
