Terebellum is backed to claim Listed success at Newbury on Thursday - Anita Chambers has a tip for every race.
Nap: Terebellum (3.00 Newbury)
Next Best: Maydanny (2.10 Nottingham)
Terebellum made quite a splash on her debut at Goodwood and she can keep up the good work with Listed glory at Newbury.
A daughter of Sea The Stars out of a Group Three winner, Terebellum made short work of her rivals over 10 furlongs last month, with the result never looking in doubt once she hit the front.
Terebellum stretched away for a four-and-a-half-length verdict that day, looking as though a swift switch up in class would be just up her street.
She sticks at 10 furlongs here in the Johnnie Lewis Memorial British EBF Stakes- and while soft ground is a bit of a question mark, she looks a filly full of potential.
Qamka finished a creditable third on her initial outing and can improve on that in the Crossland British EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes.
Beaten seven and a half lengths by Twist 'N' Shake, Qamka shaped with plenty of promise and certainly has the pedigree to back that up.
Fellow Roger Varian inmate Sezim can make it a double for the trainer and owner Nurlan Bizakov in the Adnams Ghost Ship Handicap at Yarmouth.
Placed on two of his three juvenile starts last year, Sezim was third first time up this term - beaten nearly six lengths at Newmarket last month.
He was making his handicap debut that day and perhaps just bumped into a couple of better treated rivals on what was his first run since the end of November.
Sezim should surely progress for that run and cannot be ruled out.
Maydanny is bred to be a superstar - but after failing to make it to the track as a juvenile, he has the chance to finally get off the mark in the MansionBet Maiden Stakes.
By Dubawi out of Classic winner Attraction, Maydanny was narrowly beaten into second on his racecourse bow over an extended seven furlongs at Beverley.
He switches up to an extended mile here, a move which appears to be in the favour of this 1.35 million guineas purchase.
Royal Residence has hit the bar on his last two starts but can enjoy his moment in the spotlight in the MansionBet Handicap.
He was beaten just a neck last time but hardly helped his cause by wandering across the track in the finish - a factor which perhaps proved crucial, given the margin of victory.
A 3lb rise looks a bit harsh on the face of it, but Royal Residence might not have finished improving yet.
