Ferry All (17.15 Sedgefield)

Brian Ellison operates at a very respectable 29% strike-rate in bumpers, so it was perhaps a little disappointing to see Ferry All well held on his debut at Kelso last season. This half-brother to the yard's bumper winner and once 145-rated chaser Apterix was slightly outpaced that day before staying on well in behind the leaders shaping as if a longer trip would suit in time. He should have learnt plenty that day, and if he’s given a more aggressive ride to make the most of his obvious stamina he should make a bold claim to follow in his sibling's footsteps in winning a race of this nature.
