Price Boosts - Hit or Miss?

2.45 Downpatrick - Count Simon

HIT - String of frustrating efforts in defeat but form reads well and looks to have been found a good opportunity for Godon Elliott here.

2.55 Carlisle - Charmant

HIT - Doing exceptionally well over fences and hard to believe we've seen the best of him yet. Should be suited by this test and looks very solid.

4.45 Naas - Amedeo Modigliani (Feature Boost)

MISS - Long time off the track and while his form may look seriously good in the context of this race, yard's runners always improve for a spin at this time of the year.

5.25 Exeter - Southfield Harvest

MISS - Interesting newcomer with a pedigree for bumpers but concedes experience to two likely looking rivals and will clearly need to be more than useful to win first time up.

Trader Tip

Espoir De Teillee (3.15 Exeter)

Tom George’s new recruit makes his long awaited stable debut after almost 18 months off the track. This bright prospect looked sure to go a long way when hacking up on his latest start but injury problems have held him back since. Opening handicap mark doesn’t appear too lenient but this expensive purchase could turn out to be way ahead of his rivals, should the long layoff have not hindered his ability.
