Having his second start for Noel Meade having been winless from four starts on the Flat and he showed some promise on hurdling debut in a maiden won by Sir Erec at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Price Boosts - Hit or Miss?

13.40 Punchestown - Dallas Des Pictons (Feature Boost)

HIT - Looks to be getting the hang of things for Gordon Elliott and chances are there is significantly more to come from him as he moves up to two and a half miles here.

14.05 Ffos Las - Nordic Combined

HIT - Rathhill may not have done much for the Newbury form but he was stepped up to Grade One level, whereas David Pipe's runner here is clearly capable of going one better at this level.

14.55 Fontwell - Umndeni

MISS - Finished fifth in the same Newbury maiden behind Rathhill and likely to appreciate the step up in distance today, but jumping still needs a bit of work so clearly not the finished article yet.

16.40 Wolverhampton - Alban’s Dream

MISS - Blinkers retained after improved effort when beaten a length over C&D last time out but had another short break since and returns off a 2lb higher mark. Looks potentially vulnerable.

Traders Tip

Watersmeet (18.15 Wolverhampton)

Although he comes up against a far less exposed rival at the head of the market, Watersmeet won this race last year and, despite a below-par run last time behind Festival Of Ages, would seemingly have every chance of dominating this race from the front at a course where his record stands at three wins from four visits.
