Best-backed selection: Smaoineamh Alainn (13:20 Cheltenham) – 5/2 from 7/1
She may not be the easiest to pronounce (for the initiated) but punters cannot get enough of Smaoineamh Alainn in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Cheltenham today. Ben Linfoot flagged her up as an eye-catcher in his popular Weighed In column following her fifth in the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton last time, where it was highlighted a 4lb drop in the weights for that reasonable run in hot company may prove lenient. Well, she's back at the scene of her latest success - in this very race on the corresponding card 12 months ago - and is just 2lb higher than for that triumph. She's the best-backed horse of the day by a long chalk.

Price Boosts - Hit or Miss?
20.45 Kempton - Tamerlan
HIT - Cosy scorer on handicap debut last week and every reason to believe there will be a lot more improvement to come as this son of Dark Angel matures.
17.30 Dundalk - Serenely
MISS - Obvious appeal based on connections and pedigree (daughter of Derby winner Australia) but she's not the only interesting type in the field and the tongue-tie on debut is just slightly off-putting.
12.00 Doncaster - Wolfcatcher
MISS - Connections looking to strike again while the iron is hot (and the going is good) but three-runner race at Musselburgh in the week didn't take much winning and he has 7lb extra to content with.
14.45 Bangor - Falco Blitz
HIT - Stable seriously going through the gears now and this point-to-point recruit makes considerable appeal first time out in a race which may not be as deep as it looks at first glance.
15.05 Cheltenham - Josies Orders (Feature Boost)
HIT - As reliable as they come around here and Mark Walsh got a fine tune out of him again when scoring last month. Up 3lb but sure to be right there when it matters again today.
Trader Tip
13:20 Cheltenham – Magic Dancer
Kerry Lee’s six-year-old loves it at Cheltenham having won twice and placed on the other on of his three starts here. Below par the last twice but ran well on seasonal debut and the eye catching booking of the champion jockey Richard Johnson should give his every chance of making the frame.
