Ralph Beckett has his string excellent form at present and is no stranger to sending out debut winners. Beckett saddles newcomer Stormwave in the PKF Francis Clark EBF Novice Stakes (2.10) at Salisbury and this Dalakhani colt has clearly been showing up well at home judging by the market support he has attracted - he is now 5/2 from 8/1.

Price Boosts - Hit or Miss?

2.00 Nottingham - Ambling: MISS: Fair fourth on debut at Newmarket but did plenty wrong on that occasion and will need to be much more streetwise taking on a host of interesting newcomers today.

2.45 Salisbury - Monsieur Noir: HIT: Promising opening run and that Doncaster form is already working out well. Entitled to improve and must go close.

3.40 Cork - Snowflakes: HIT: Ran at Royal Ascot on only her second career start last summer and should be a different filly today following a reappearance run at Listowel recently.

5.05 Bangor - Beau Sancy: MISS: Debuts for Olly Murphy and comes here following a recent wind operation but his overall profile suggests he's one to swerve at the 13/8 mark.

7.00 Newcastle - Improve: HIT: Looked to be learning on the job when winning at Haydock and trainer William Haggas boasts an excellent 35 per cent strike-rate at Newcastle in the last five years.
