Sea Of Class tops field of 11 for Prince Of Wales's Stakes

Sea Of Class will face a maximum of ten rivals in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

William Haggas' brilliant filly is due to make her seasonal reappearance in the day two feature after a 2018 which saw her win the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks before a fast-finishing second to Enable in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The race could also mark the return to action of Masar who hasn't raced since landing last season's Investec Derby. James Doyle, the only man to have ridden Sea Of Class in public, is booked to ride the Godolphin colt instead.

Aidan O'Brien's Magical has started the season well and won the Tattersalls Gold Cup last time. She could be joined in the filed by stablemates Hunting Horn and Magic Wand although all three hold alternative Royal Ascot engagements.

Frankie Dettori rides the admirable Crystal Ocean for Sir Michael Stoute as the five-year-old chases a first Group One win while Deirdre is in line to represent Japan.

Waldgeist won the Prix Ganay on his return to action for Andre Fabre and is a leading hope for France.

Desert Encounter, Salouen and Zabeel Prince complete the field.
