Ashley Iveson takes Cloudy Dream to make a winning start for Donald McCain on Sunday and has a tip for every race in the UK and Ireland.

NAP: CLOUDY DREAM 3.00 Aintree

Next best: Polydora 3.35 Aintree

Cloudy Dream can make a successful start to the new campaign in the Monet's Garden Old Roan Chase at Aintree.

The eight-year-old has been a fine servant to owner Trevor Hemmings, plying his trade at the top level for the past couple of seasons under the tutelage of the late Malcolm Jefferson and then his daughter, Ruth.

The grey has become something of a nearly horse, with his 13 chase starts yielding only three victories.

However, he has filled the runner-up spot on no less than eight occasions and has been unfortunate enough to chase home Champion Chaser Altior, his Champion Hurdle-winning stablemate Buveur D'Air and a Gold Cup hero in Native River.

Cloudy Dream has finished second on each of his three previous visits to Aintree, including when narrowly denied beaten by Smad Place in this race a year ago, and he will surely appreciate being back on decent ground, having spent much of last season slogging through testing conditions.

He makes his first start since joining Donald McCain this weekend and providing he is fit enough to do himself justice, the strong-travelling gelding should prove hard to beat.

Polydora is of significant interest in the Merseyrail Chase. Tom Lacey's inmate won at Chepstow and Exeter over hurdles last season and rounded off his campaign by filling the runner-up spot here in May.

That form looks watertight with the winner, Black Sam Bella, subsequently bolting up at Warwick and the third, Sky Pirate, scoring on his next start at Worcester.

Polydora was raised 3lb for his fine effort and kicks off his career over fences off what appears a perfectly workable mark of 131.

His fitness has to be taken on trust on his return from a five-month break, but Lacey has been among the winners in the last couple of weeks and the booking of champion jockey Richard Johnson suggests connections mean business.

Sumkindofking gets the nod in the Download The Betbright App Handicap Chase at Wincanton.

Tom George's charge opened his account over fences at Market Rasen in June and was not disgraced when fifth in the Summer Plate at the same venue on his next start.

He made the most of having his sights lowered when returning to winning ways at Ludlow almost three weeks ago and a 3lb rise does not look insurmountable.

Arty Campbell is of obvious interest in the opening betbright.com Handicap Hurdle.

The Bernard Llewellyn-trained gelding is a previous winner at Wincanton and bounced back from a disappointing run of form when bolting up at Hereford recently.

He did briefly look like running out that day and clearly has his own ideas about the game, but he certainly has the ability to follow up if in the right mood.
