Lostintranslation makes sparkling winning return at Carlisle

Lostintranslation on his way to victory

Lostintranslation produced a sparkling round of jumping to make a winning reappearance in the Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle.

Robbie Power's partner took lengths out of his three rivals at virtually every fence and never looked in any danger of defeat.

Sent off the 1/2 favourite, Colin Tizzard's charge was eased down to beat Count Meribel by two-and-a-quarter lengths, the pair clear of Kildisart and My Old Gold.

Inevitably the performance led to plenty of ante-post reaction, Sky Bet cutting the winner to 5/2 from 4s for the Betfair Chase, 8s from 10s for the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase, 8s from 9s in the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup market and he's 12s from 16s for the Ryanair Chase.

Head of Sports PR Michael Shinners said: "You had to be impressed with how Lostintranslation jumped at Carlisle. He's a very exciting prospect for his powerful team this year."

And all roads now lead to Haydock for the winner, Tizzard saying: "He looked it (foot perfect), didn't he? You never know first time out, but he jumped well and travelled well - and that was great. He should come on for the run - and his next race will be the Betfair Chase, all being well."
