Free horse racing selections for Saturday October 13

Ashley Iveson thinks Advertise can land the Dewhurst on Saturday and he has a tip for every race in the UK and Ireland.

Nap: Advertise 3.00 Newmarket

Next best: Persan King 2.25 Newmarket

Advertise could prove the value call in an intriguing renewal of the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

Much of the pre-race chat has focused on red-hot favourite Too Darn Hot and it is not difficult to see why.

A son of Dubawi out of the top-class racemare Dar Re Mi, the youngster has so far lived up to his regal breeding by registering three consecutive victories in impressive style.

Successive wins at Sandown were followed by a dominant display in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster and given he represents the formidable combination of John Gosden and Frankie Dettori, it is no surprise to see him priced up as a short-priced favourite.

That said, Advertise has arguably achieved even more as the only Group One winner in the field and odds of around 7-1 are too good to pass up.

Martyn Meade's youngster made a big impression on his racecourse debut at Newbury in the spring and found only the Gosden-trained and subsequently sidelined Calyx too strong in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Advertise has since proved he belongs at this level by landing the July Stakes and the Group One Phoenix Stakes, showing he has courage to go with his class on the latter occasion at the Curragh.

The son of Showcasing has been trained for the Dewhurst ever since, the step up to seven furlongs should suit and Oisin Murphy looks the perfect super-sub for Dettori in the saddle.

With a massive prize fund of £500,000 up for grabs, Willie Mullins throws several darts at the Dubai Cesarewitch and the one who makes most appeal at the prices is Low Sun.

The five-year-old bolted up on his penultimate start on the Flat at the Curragh and followed up in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival.

He was admittedly a shade disappointing back on the level at Bellewstown last on his latest outing, but a mile and a half was perhaps on the sharp side for him and the winner, Astronomer, has since proved he was seriously well handicapped on the day.

Stepping up to two and a quarter miles will be no hindrance.

French raider Persian King gets the nod in the Masar Godolphin Autumn Stakes.

Trainer Andre Fabre recently admitted to being excited by the son of Kingman, who has treated his rivals with contempt on his two most recent outings at Chantilly.

Fabre considers his charge a realistic contender for next year's 2000 Guineas and he can enhance those claims with a course-and-distance success in this Group Three contest.

The coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes is the main event on the final day of the season at York.

Garrus looked a high-class prospect for Jeremy Noseda after registering August wins at Newmarket and Newcastle, but after travelling strongly his effort petered out in the Mill Reef at Newbury last month.

The Acclamation colt has a little less on his plate on the Knavesmire.

Many consider Chepstow's Saturday fixture as the start of the jumps season proper.

The Smerdon Tree Services Novices' Chase has attracted a small but select field with some very nice prospects but at this time of year fitness counts for everything and Nicky Henderson's Monbeg Legend has been on the go through the summer.

Come the spring he is unlikely to be near the top of the tree but he can make hay will the sun continues to shine.
