A deserved win for Salouen at Ascot
A deserved win for Salouen at Ascot

Salouen will carry top weight in Saturday's £1million Sky Bet Ebor at York following the defection of Communique and Latrobe at the five-day stage.

Sylvester Kirk's charge will be contesting his first handicap at the Knavesmire having been campaigned in group company in recent seasons. He was fourth behind Enable and Crystal Ocean in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on his latest start.

Melbourne Cup hope Gold Mount and Willie Mullins' Thomas Hobson were the other notable absentees from the list on Monday.

Mark Johnston is set to have a strong hand in Saturday's race with current favourite King's Advice on target along with Making Miracles and Baghdad.

John Gosden could also be triple-handed with Royal Line, Weekender and Ben Vrackie while other leading fancies include Withhold, Raheen House and Mustajeer.
