Davy Russell escapes serious injury in Roscommon fall

Davy Russell escaped serious injury after he suffered a fall at Roscommon on Tuesday evening.

Russell sustained a leg injury when he parted company with the Gordon Elliott-trained Crack Of Thunder four fences from home in the Michael Holland Tyres Handicap Chase.

The jockey was taken to hospital for X-rays but said on Twitter: "No fracture just badly bruised thanks for all the kind messages."
