Swinton Hurdle winner John Constable will be aimed at the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting next month.
Formerly trained by Aidan O'Brien, he was in the process of running his best race for some time in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last month when he fell at the final flight.
Despite a 5lb rise at Haydock, he proved he was back to his best when a 14-length winner of the valuable Grade Three, with trainer Evan Williams keen to strike while the iron is hot.
"We'll aim him at the two-mile-three race at Royal Ascot," said Williams.
"It seems the obvious place to go but he might not get in, that's the worry. It's 0-100 and he's currently rated 88.
"I'd have no worries about the ground as we've found out he's a spring-summer horse."
