Richard Fahey column: Doncaster on Lincoln Sunday

Richard Fahey guides us through his Sunday Doncaster team including the returning Carnageo, who he hopes has improved again over the winter.

We're off to a busy start to Sunday with four runners in the opening Get Doncaster Moving Handicap.

Any rain would help Khelman who is in good order. Seven furlongs here is right up his street so he could run well.

So could Invermere who looks fantastic. She's done very well over the winter and is in good form at home. I'm just a little worried about her low draw.

Royal Connoisseur's owner loves Doncaster and this is a good starting point for the horse. It's just a question of whether he's going to stay seven furlongs as he tries the trip for the first time.

Ballymore Castle just seems to take a few runs to hit top form, he runs himself into it. We're happy enough with him at home but will find out exactly where we are on Sunday.

Natajack has his first run for the yard in the opening division of the Purple Vouchers Maiden Stakes. Nick Bradley was very keen on him at the sales after he finished second at Newbury on his only start at two. This could be a warm race but if he's improved from that first start then he must have a chance.

George Bowen was very unlucky all last season; we always seemed to have a genuine excuse for him. He's in great order at home and I hope he's going to run very well in the Rosina May Godfrey Memorial Handicap.

We still don't really know whether Carnageo gets 10 furlongs but there's every chance he does and he reappears in the Choose Fitness Handicap. He's done really well over the winter and if he does get the trip here he'd have a good chance as he's still improving.

Our final runner is Mushaireb in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Handicap. He was awarded a race at Newcastle on his only start last season and there aren't many places to go with a horse like this.

We start out here in what could be a very warm contest. This is a nice prospect who is going to win more races whatever happens here.
