Richard Fahey column on Sunday Newmarket runners

Richard Fahey takes us through his Sunday team including Queen Kindly in the Qipco 1000 Guineas.

Queen Kindly heads to Newmarket for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas.

They only get the one chance to run in the race so we’re going down there. She ran ok at Newbury on her reappearance but needs to prove she stays a mile here. That is the big question mark ahead of the weekend but one thing I do know is she couldn’t be in better form right now.

We’re double handed in the Longholes Handicap

Eastern Impact is in great form, we’re very happy with him. I thought he ran well when third at Wolverhampton last time and he likes the track here which is a help. It will be interesting to see how he runs albeit in a very competitive heat.

Mr Lupton is in twilight land at the moment. He isn’t proving good enough in Group company so we’re switching back to handicaps to see where we are with him.

Society Red is a horse we like and he steps up in trip in the closing QIPCO Supporting British Racing Handicap. We think he’ll stay but it is a question mark if you read his pedigree. It’s competitive stuff down there as always but don’t draw a line through our fellow.

We’ve two runners at Hamilton and any rain ahead of the totetrifecta Pick The 1, 2, 3 Handicap would really help Khelman. He’s been running ok but loves the track up there so hopefully it will be a case of horses for courses.

El Nino Sea has taken a bit of time to come to himself. He ran ok on his debut at Ripon last month and is entitled to improve for it. He’d have a small chance in the totepool Supporting #MHAW17 8th-14th May 2107 Maiden Stakes.
